Headteacher's Weekly News

Lesley Gillies
Headteacher

Dear Parents/Carers,

As we reflect on another busy school week at Pirie Park and begin to plan for Christmas, we have a few events planned we wanted to share with you. Please see find our December calendar attached here – Christmas Calendar 2024.

The week began with Primary 7 visiting the Pearce Institute for more, Developing the Young Work force activities, followed by the on-going transition programme provided by Govan High.

On Monday after school, our keen footballers took part in the Govan football tournament playing aside our friends from: Riverside Primary, Ibrox Primary, St Saviours Primary, Lourdes Primary and OLR Primary.

On Wednesday Mr Henderson led our whole school assembly, we were treated to a presentation from P4A on Judaism following their recent trip to the synagogue. Learners displayed many skills during their performance and shared confidently their knowledge of Judaism.

Friday closed the week with a highly successful, Christmas Fayre!! A huge thanks to our Parent Council for organising this and to all the friends and families who came along to support us!

We look forward to celebrating the festive season with you over the next three weeks, only 24 sleeps to go…

Warmest wishes

Lesley Gillies
