Govan HELP

Govan HELP is a local charity supporting children and families across the Govan area. Established in 1996, they offer a range of early intervention services including Family Support, Play Therapy, Adult Counselling, Training & Volunteering, and The Govan Pantry. They work closely with local schools to help children and families build resilience and make positive changes to their lives.

Glasgow South West Foodbank

Glasgow South West Foodbank provides three days’ emergency food and support to local people in crisis. Part of the Trussell Trust network and open since 2013, they rely on the generosity of the local community through food donations and volunteering. Anyone needing support can access the foodbank through a referral voucher from a professional such as a teacher, social worker, or GP.

Elder Park Library and Community Hub

Elder Park Library and Community Hub is a free, welcoming space on Langlands Road, open seven days a week. Following a £4 million restoration in 2024, the historic building now offers improved library facilities, a community kitchen, bookable spaces, free Wi-Fi, computers and printing, and regular events for all ages including Bookbug sessions for young children.
